Nasir Uddin Mahmud is a Bangladeshi Industrialist. He is a businessman by profession. He has been re-elected as the president of Uttara Club in 2015. Nasir U Mahmud got 72 votes in the election. He is also associated with Dhaka Boat Club.
Pori Moni Issue
Dhallywood star Pori Moni on Monday filed a sexual assault complaint against six people, including former president of Uttara Club Ltd Nasiruddin Mahmud. She filed the case under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act and Penal Code 307.
She said the main culprit of the incident was a person named Nasir U Mahmud. He is the former president of a club called Uttara Boat Club, businessman by profession. Pori Moni went to the club with acquaintances after 12 o’clock on the day of the incident. On that day, four drunk men physically abused her. They slapped her, hit the body and tortured her physically. At one stage, they even tried to rape her by giving her drugs.
Rape and death case
She made the first allegation in a Facebook post on Sunday night. Later, Pori Moni revealed the name of the accused businessman at a press conference.
In the days that followed, Pori moni also claimed that she had contacted various people, including Zayed Khan, the general secretary of the Shilpi Samiti. The heroine has filed a case against six people at Savar police station on charges of torture and attempted rape. On Monday afternoon, Pori moni herself filed the case as a plaintiff. Nasir Uddin Mahmud was made the main accused in the case.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Savar Circle) of Dhaka District Police Abdullah Al Kafi confirmed the matter. He also said that several teams of police have launched an operation to arrest the accused.
Zayed Khan, general secretary of the Film Artists Association also confirmed the allegations. He wants justice for this unfortunate incident.
